Carefully and sustainably refurbished, B&B Casagrande was once a stable that housed a bull. It was little more than a ruin when we first saw it, but we were captivated by its details: stone walls, a sloping roof and a wonderful wooden column that now stands in our entrance hall. We fell in love with it and purchased it, then started the renovation work and construction of the annexe, salvaging almost all of the original materials.

Sustainability has guided our every choice. The walls are plastered in natural lime. Our electricity needs are met by solar panels on the roof, which is covered with special slate tiles that incorporate the panels while maintaining the harmony and balance of the building.

Even the rooms are furnished with reused materials from the old barn, former houses, and even from our childhood homes, or purchased here and there at flea markets.
